This one just swam out,

Quietly, like a speckled trout.

Moving out of shadows into the light,

This babe arrived in the stillness of the night.

No screaming pain of labor was heard,

Father and mother embrace her without a word.

This tiny tot greets the world with a smile.

A tender soul, all pure, no guile.

A name is chosen for two old bubbies,

Two stalwart souls who were good to their hubbies

Providing the mother lode of sunshine

To flower in this child who is so, so fine.
