I lie on a hammock in my own back yard
staring at cirrus clouds floating by in pajamas.
I wonder where my life has gone.
I close my eyes and see tiny gold letters
dance around behind the inside of my eyelids.
I record all the letters, figuring I’ll l find out later
if they can make anagrams. I had enough letters to spell—
